HP’s new Tablet style HP Pavilion TX1218AU notebook PC is powered by 1.8 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core mobile processor TL-56 and features 12.1-inch touch screen display with full 180-degree swiveling, integrated 1.3 MP webcam, and built-in Biometric Fingerprint Recognition technology for user-friendly and enhanced data security.

Each processing core of dual-core AMD Turion 64 X2 Processor TL-56 has a 512 KB L2 cache (1-MB total), and this processor can deliver massive 1600 MHz FSB. The tablet notebook is build around NVIDIA C51M Chipset Mainboard.

The L2, or secondary cache, temporarily stores data and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system�s performance. The FSB carries data between the CPU and RAM, and a faster front-side bus (FSB) help deliver better overall performance.

The dual-core AMD Turion 64 X2 processor TL-56 delivers additional computing resources to help expand your PC�s capabilities by providing higher throughput and simultaneous computing which can increase performance by up to 80 percent.

Using the AMD PowerNow! power management technology, the HP Pavilion TX1218AU series notebook PCs delivers performance on demand and can extend system battery life by up to 65 percent.

New HP Pavilion TX1218AU notebook PC features 1-GB DDR2 SDRAM, 667 MHz (2 slots, max 4-GB), 160-MB Serial-ATA HDD (5400rpm) which help quickens the pace with a higher speed transfer of data like in case of FireWire and USB 2.0 ports.

The Pavilion TX1218AU notebook also sports a 8X Super Multi DVD Writer with Double Layer support. The multiformat DVD/CD drive is capable of burning both DVD+ and DVD- disc formats as well as dual-layer DVD+/-R optical discs allowing storage of up to 8.5 GB of data on each dual-sided DVD media. In addition the DVD writer can also burn 40x CD-R and 24x CD-RW medias.

Networking and Connectivity

Based on the draft 802.11n Wi-Fi specification, it offers up to five times the performance and twice the wireless range as existing 802.11g wireless.
